The Crew

Romain completed a degree in Merchant Shipping in Plymouth, UK and as part of his degree worked 1 year aboard MY Callisto in order to gain his sea time. On completing his degree, Romain never looked back and went on to spending a year on the Mini- Transat 6.50 Ocean racing circuit before joining AEGIR in September 2012. Romain has cruised extensively the Western Med and also spent a fair amount of time in the Cyclades and Turkey.
Romain's dream is to race single-handedly around the world. He is extremely active and spends the biggest part of his free time doing sports, from road cycling to kite surfing and diving.
He is extremely professional, polite and friendly, putting all charter guests at ease in a warm, welcoming environment.

Nicolas has been in the yachting industry for 2 years and started his career with a delivery on a 56ft Goellette from Sri Lanka to Canada which covered 9,300 nm and took 5 months.
He describes his best sailing experience as crossing the Pacific Ocean and seeing the Northern Lights and his worst breaking the storm jib in a force 9 on the Japanese coast.
Nicolas loves sharing these experiences with other sailing aficinados and is looking forward to gaining more experience on AEGIR.
Nicolas has a love of the ocean and nature and when not busy onboard he likes to do extreme sports, cook good food and share with friends.
