Mark has more than 30 years yachting experience, incorporating 20 years of navigation as Second and then First Officer on large yachts. The past 11 years have been as Captain. During the past two years he has worked on a privately owned yacht navigating extensively in the Bahamas and USA.
Mark is a very hands-on charter Captain and has great inter-personal skills which allows him a good rapport with owners, guests and crew alike, ensuring that the vessel will run efficiently and to a high standard.
Mark spent 6 successful Med seasons on the popular charter yacht Asha.

Engineer: Serge Michelet - French

Serge started his engineering career at a French Naval Academy where he spent 3 years studying to be a Marine Engineer, later spending 5 years on the Aircraft Carrier CLEMENCEAU.
Since joining the superyacht industry in 1987 Serge has been employed on large yachts and joined Midnight Sun in 2015.
Being involved in many yacht deliveries all around the world and long periods of time in shipyards for yacht refits, surveys and maintenance has given Serge the experience to become a great Chief Engineer.

Chef: Tim Fardell - British

Tim has been a professional chef for the past 9 years, during this time he has gained a vast amount of experience in the hospitality industry. At the age of 24 Tim became
Head Chef at a 4* hotel in the Austrian Alps. He has also worked at high-end restaurants around the UK.
Joining the yachting industry in 2013 as sole chef on both private and charter yachts, he is now looking forward to showing guests his style of cuisine on board
M/Y Midnight Sun, his specialities are contemporary British, Mediterranean, Asian and seafood, Tim also caters for those guests who have special dietary requirements
such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free.

Chief Stewardess: : Helen Muller - South African

Helens career in yachting started over 10 years ago on the 37ft S/Y Ucinga to do an Atlantic crossing, since then she went on to work in lodges in South Africa continuing her career in hospitality. In 2012 Helen joined the 108m M/V Silver Explorer a trip from Argentina to Antarctica, the yacht was awarded the Hospitality Cup for outstanding Service. Helen as continued her career as Chief Stewardess on-board M/Y Queen of Sheba (34m) and joined M/Y Midnight Sun this summer as Chief Stewardess.
Stewardess: Ayeesha Geros - New Zealand

New Zealand born Ayeesha has been employed in various departments of the hospitality industry for over 10 years, this has given her a unique skillset and helps her learn new tasks quickly. Although Ayeesha only started in the yachting industry this summer on the 28m M/Y Kalliente she previously worked in high end restaurants, bars and lodges as housekeeper, commis chef, and waitress.
Deckhand: Maximillian Weise – German

This will be Max’s third season on board Midnight Sun. Born in Germany and raised in Malaysia, Max moved to France 10 years ago.
Max describes himself has having a very good work ethic, very competent on deck and loves to learn new skills. When not busy on deck Max enjoys snowboarding, fishing, cooking and motor sports.
